We completed a project using a combination of our ES29 Aluminium Sliding Doors and EW80 matching aluminium windows.
The ES29 sliding doors feature a 29mm central mullion, a key benefit for clients seeking “more glass and less frame.” This design provides a sleek and modern aesthetic while maximizing natural light.
For this project, we utilized our EW80 window profile to create a large, gable-shaped window spanning 4 meters in width, without any vertical splits. This design showcases the capability of the EW80 profile to achieve expansive, unobstructed views.
Given the extensive glazing and stringent U-value requirements, we supplied triple glazing for the sliding doors. The south-facing orientation of the garden means that triple glazing will mitigate solar gain, helping to keep the room cooler during warmer months. It’s a common misconception that triple glazing only benefits winter insulation; in south-facing rooms, it effectively reduces heat build-up in summer. Conversely, if the room faced north, double glazing might be preferable to enhance solar gain and maintain brightness.
All products for this project were manufactured within two weeks from the order date. As standard, they feature marine-grade powder coating, essential for the property’s coastal location, situated just 100 yards from the sea.
