Mr Colville first come into to our showroom to look at the bathroom product range on display in our showroom prior to starting his ensuite renovating. After discussing detail of the project and carrying out a survey, I began to work on creating the design concept and put together visual to help share the design concept with the customer. The original bathroom was very tired and dated with of beige coloured Wetwall panels and so we planned to work on modernizing the look and creating a futuristic vibe to the bathroom.

The first stages involved worked together on selecting the final furniture colour and ended up selecting the Anthracite glass door finish. This led onto choosing the rest of the furniture, fittings and tile finishes. I proposed to raise the bath up onto a stepped level to create a more enjoyable bathing experience. This posed a good opportunity to go bold with the feature Blue lighting along the stepped level allowing the customer to use them as a feature bathing light. The next design element we focused on was the walk-in shower and making sure it was open plan and spacious as per requested. The use of the Keuco linear wet floor allows the shower to have a tiled floor without any threshold difference which would not have been achievable with a shower tray. As we were also planning on fitting underfloor heating, this was run into the showering area creating a warm zone under foot when using the shower.

As discussed at the very early stages of the design process, the customer had requested for blue feature lighting to be included. Once the LED lights were fitted along with the rest of the bathroom finished: chrome brassware, large format full height tiling and grey flec quartz worktop, this allowed all aspect of the design come together in creating a bespoke futuristic finish look.
